A passenger plane carrying 152 people has crashed into the Margalla Hills near the Pakistani capital Islamabad, officials have said.
The accident occurred after the plane took off from Islamabad on Wednesday in bad weather.
"There were 146 passengers and six crewmen on board," Mubarik Shah,
a spokesman of the state-run Civil Aviation Authority, told Reuters news agency.
"We are gathering information. We have no more details."
Rescue workers were heading to the scene, where smoke was seen rising through heavy clouds, but difficult roads were complicating the operation.
The plane's destination had been the Pakistani city of Karachi.
